Research Interests
Prof. Ahmed leads the Quantitative Engineering Biology (QEB) Group at BUET, where his team applies chemical engineering principles to address complex environmental and clinical challenges. His research spans from computational modeling of intracellular ERK signaling pathways to developing practical solutions for air pollution in Bangladesh — including landmark collaborative research with Stanford University and icddr,b published in Science (2025) on reducing emissions from informal brick kilns.
