Collaborative Work from BUET Published in Prestigious Science Journal

Science journal cover — brick kiln study Cover Story

Collaborative Work from BUET Published in Science — Brick Kiln Energy Efficiency

Prof. Shoeb Ahmed (ChE, BUET) and an international team from Stanford, Boston University, icddr,b, and Greentech Knowledge Solutions published a randomised controlled trial (RCT) in Science demonstrating that brick kiln owners in Bangladesh voluntarily adopt cleaner, more efficient practices when given proper training and profit-aligned support. The study covered 276 kilns in the 2022–2023 brick kiln season and featured as the cover of its issue.
